Software Development

Software is what we lead with. Most businesses reach a point where the spreadsheet, the third party tool and the manual workaround stop holding together, and that is usually when people call us. We host and support what we build, so when something needs changing in eighteen months you are still talking to the people who wrote it.

Scope

What you get

Web and business applications

Quoting tools, booking systems, stock and job tracking, customer portals. Usually replacing a spreadsheet that has outgrown itself.

Mobile app development

iOS and Android apps, for customers or for staff working away from a desk.

APIs and integrations

Getting your accounting, CRM and website talking to each other, including systems that were never designed to.

Databases and data

Schema design, migrations off older systems, and reporting you can run yourself.

Hosting and deployment

We host what we build. Deployments go out without taking the site down, and we handle the patching.

Automation and tooling

Scheduled reports, invoice generation, data imports and the Friday afternoon job nobody wants.

Under the bonnet

What we work with

We choose the stack per project. These are the ones we have shipped and supported enough to move quickly in.

How a project works

How a build actually runs.

You see working software early and often, not a demo at the end.

01

Discovery

We work out what the software has to do, who uses it, and what it has to talk to. Then we agree what finished looks like.

02

Design

Screens, data model and the flow through them, signed off before we build.

03

Build

You get working software to look at as it goes, and you can change direction while changing direction is still cheap.

04

Launch

Testing, the switch to live, and someone watching it the week after.

05

Iterate

Live is not finished. Most clients come back with the next thing once real users have had a month with it.
